Bettering the Breed
One Litter at a time
About Us
We bought our first Flat Coated Retriever, Dash, a Black male, from Artic Sun FCRs in 2006. One year later we bought Rudy, a Liver male, from Wyncliff FCRs. We learned so much from both breeders; they taught us important aspects of breeding, and how to evaluate a dog and determine what they are and what they could offer to their puppies.

We have since co-bred three beautiful litters with Artic Sun, which gave us Austin, Chena, and Glitch! We discussed several potential kennel names and finally decided to honor our first two dogs and the kennels they came from, as they are what gave us our start in the breed. Thus, ArcticWyn was born!

Sarah was 13 when she received Dash and has grown up in the dog show world, learning all of the ins and outs. Deb was field training with her Labrador friends and has gone to several seminars in the lower 48 to learn more about field training Flat Coats from FCR breeders and trainers.

In 2014, Sarah went down to Oregon to work for Rick and Dinah Baggenstos (PHA) as an assistant to learn anything and everything she could about the show world. She worked for them off and on for 6 years, which was truly a wonderful, educational experience!

Here at ArcticWyn, we strive to produce the very best. All of our dogs are temperament tested as puppies, and are OFA tested as adults before they are considered for breeding. We work hard with our puppies to help the transition into their new homes go as smoothly as possible. We pride ourselves on breeding dogs for both form and function, as you cannot have one without the other; a balanced dog is the best dog!

We have a questionnaire located on our Contact Us page, and we ask that you fill it out and email it back to us if you are interested in our dogs.

Welcome to our kennel, and if you have any questions do not hesitate to email, we love to talk about our wonderful breed!
